Artist turned DJ - it almost sounds cliched, doesn't it? In the case of Ben Watt, the transition from Everything But the Girl to Buzzin' Fly is more of a logical artistic growth. Calvin Harris Interview - Interview with Calvin Harris
Spawning two top 10 singles in the UK ("Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls"), "I Created Disco" by Calvin Harris is probably my favorite party album of 2007. Put the CD into your player and every song will lift the vibe of any event. The title of the CD has little to do with its contents (a fusion of electro, 80s new wave and power pop) nor the ego of the artist (probably one of the nicest, most down to earth musicians out there).
Cedric Gervais Interview
Space resident and leading man in Miami Cedric Gervais is rocking dance floors around the world and turning out club-pounding tracks with the likes of Second Sun and Sharam. To call D:Fuse and Mike Hiratzka ambitious is an understatement. Releasing "Skyline Lounge," a genre-bending self-penned album fusing electronic and live instrumentation with vocalists including Kristy Thirsk, DJ Rap, and MC Flint is quite a gamble. Throngs of people were huddled for blocks on both sides of the street as the fire marshals controlled entry to the club where David Guetta rocked the decks. The response is typical of the warm reception David has received on his first US tour preparing for the Ultra release of "GuettaBlaster," buoyed by the singles "Love Don't Let Me Go," The World Is Mine," and "Stay."

Not to be etched into one musical style, Domu's rhythms are one minute deep techy head-nodders or upbeat dancefloor stormers, and the next, straight-up soul and hip-hop.

"Put Your Hands Up for Detroit" is the tech jam that exploded out of nowhere, and Dutchman Fedde La Grande has been touring solidly since its release. By no means a one-hit wonder, the follow-up track "The Creeps" was a major top 10 hit all over Europe. Add in some remixes of major club records by Erick E and Mr. V, as well as a remix of pop superstar Robbie Williams, it looks like Fedde is going to be around for a while. As a sound designer for Korg and Abelton, he creates the sounds that other producers use. As a producer, he has worked with circuit Roland Belmares and commercial Joe Bermudez.
